Export Documentation
Some countries require documentation to prove the place of growth, production or manufacture of goods being imported. An authorised Certificate of Origin provides this proof and South Dublin Chamber of Commerce is authorised by the Department of Enterprise Trade & Employment to issue Export Documentation and Certificates of Origin.
We are authorised to certify the following:
- European Certificates of Origin
- Arab Irish Certificates
A Certificate of Origin is required by most countries:
- To meet customs requirements in the importing state
- To meet quota requirements of the importing country
- To comply with banking requirements
- For other official/commercial reasons
There are different Certificates of Origin used depending on the destination country, e.g. member states of the Arab League require an Arab-Irish Certificate of Origin to be used whilst an EU Certificate of Origin is used for most non-Arab destinations.
CCI Chambers of Commerce are the only providers of certificates of origin in Ireland and while the service is available to all businesses in Ireland at a reasonable cost, chamber members receive beneficial rates.
