Small Business Finance Website
A new website has been launched to highlight the different types of finance available to SME's - www.smallbusinessfinance.ie
The website was jointly produced by Chambers Ireland and the Irish Banking Federation. The website is a one stop shop for information regarding access to finance. We hope that this website will facilitate information awareness, promote knowledge and confidence in users and lead in turn to the creation of opportunities and jobs.
South Dublin Chamber says that the Government's Job Action Plan must pave the way for Rates Reform
South Dublin Chamber have been in the news recently (Irish Independent and the Evening Herald on 28/02/2012). In summary, the following points have been highlighted.
• The Government report on job creation highlighted rates and development contributions as a cost barrier and we want them to address this and not keep talking about it
• The funding of local government need to be reformed not tinkered with
• The revaluation in South Dublin needs to be addressed as the rent it was based on is no longer relevant
• Businesses are not local ATM machines for Government to fund their local offices.Overall taxation needs to be addressed with the advent of new taxes
