Recently we welcomed the British Ambassador Paul Johnston to our Corporate Members lunch in The Plaza Hotel, Tallaght.
Mr Paul Johnston has been the British Ambassador to Ireland since 2020. The Ambassador’s time in Ireland thus far has covered the COVID pandemic, the evolving relationship between the UK, Ireland and the EU following the UK’s exit from the EU, as well as Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine.
Ambassador Johnston studied Political Science and Government at the University of Glasgow and has served as the British Ambassador in Sweden, and has had postings in New York and Brussels.
At the lunch British Ambassador Paul Johnston discussed the changing political landscape and the business opportunities that exist for Irish and British companies.
