Message to our Members

I realise this is a very difficult time for many of our members and their families and loved ones. The core of a chamber is to connect and support its members and to this end we are remaining open and where possible providing services online via the phone or in person in our office. Information is key so I would encourage you and your staff / colleagues to visit our website where we are updating the supports available for staff and businesses.

This crisis will pass and business / life will resume but right now we need to focus on ensuring that when we reach this point we are in a position to do business. Working with chambers through out Ireland we are informing and challenging government to further develop supports needed in these unique circumstances so that we can reach the end of this crisis intact and ready to go. The supports we are seeking range from prompt payments , simplified bureaucracy for supports and deferred payments where necessary.

May I ask you to consider doing the following, where you can pay invoices especially for small businesses as soon as possible,  it really does make a huge difference, support home working where the business allows for it, be flexible and understanding for those who have young children or other dependents. Make a commitment to buy where possible from another chamber member a service or product you need, many of our members will be struggling when this ends and a new order is a great shot in the arm.

We are open, we are active and we will continue to provide you with the best service we can.

Peter Byrne, CEO, South Dublin Chamber
